Vidisha’s BIO
I am currently working as a consultant at Deloitte USI. A little about myself, I'm a dedicated computer science engineer with an eye for detail who is passionate about journaling, reading, music, travelling, art and learning new words. As far as technology is concerned, apart from being a part of my lifestyle, you'll often find me enjoying creating simple Android applications and interactive Web apps to pass the time.
WITH GROUPS CREATING PROGRAMS TO ENCOURAGE FEMALES TO CONSIDER STEM, WHAT IS THE BIGGEST BARRIER TO ENTRY THAT IS STILL PREVALENT TODAY?
There still needs to be more awareness regarding STEM projects. And one of the biggest reasons that people can’t join these programs even if they do come across one is the financial gap. My stand has always remained that education is a right of everyone, and it must not be denied to one due to monetary issues.
WHAT OR WHO INSPIRES YOU?
Without a shadow of a doubt, it must be my maternal grandfather (or, as I used to call him, Nana). Though he couldn't live long to see me graduate, his simple pieces of advice have always stayed with me. During our long walks at the park, he used to subliminally give me life tips which I didn't pay much attention to then. But those words managed to reach my subconscious mind, and I owe him for all my core values and beliefs!
WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT/ACCOMPLISHMENT?
I think it definitely has to be the day when I received a formal mail that my research paper on "Design and Development of Android Based Mobile Application for Healthcare Management" was finally published by the "IJREAT International Journal of Research in Engineering & Advanced Technology" in 2020. The months of burning the midnight oil to create the prototype and document its features had finally paid off.
