With groups creating programs to encourage females to consider STEM, what is the biggest barrier to entry that is still prevalent today?
Don't let other people ever make you believe what you can and cannot do. Despite what's out there in popular media and in society, there is no difference in the way females process STEM topics and male do. In fact, the first female computer scientist, Ada Lovelace was a woman!
What or who inspires you?
When I hear about women who've battled the odds to get educated in STEM and go on to inspiring other women, I get inspired to do the same myself. This is why I started a group to focus on how we can get more women in tech leadership roles, called Advancing Women in Product.
WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT/ACCOMPLISHMENT?
My proudest moment was when Advancing Women in Product was established. Since founding in 2017, we've grown to 6k+ members worldwide and have helped hundreds of our members get their dream jobs and promotions. It's truly my passion project and I'm so humbled by the resounding momentum we've been and to achieve.
